But what does this have to do with natural health? Well, many say that Natural Health is the next Starbucks of the medical field. And as more and more researchers continue to caution consumers about the side-effect laden prescription medications and more and more lawsuits arise each day from medications, natural health will only get more popular. My daughter has a rash on her leg. It started around April or May. It started off looking like ring worm. It never spread, and nobody else ever caught it. It now looks like two oblong circles connected together on her calf. Her pediatrician has no idea what it is so he prescribed her some form of a topical cream for it. She was referred to see a dermatologist, but because of insurance that dermatologist is hours away. Can anybody help me here? Her classmate said it could be pet allergies…???

(I hope not) but my first concern was Lyme Disease. Lyme Disease (caused by deer tick) does form a round/bull’s eye type of a rash. Go to this site to see if she has any symptoms that are similar to this:http://www.umm.edu/patiented/articles/what_symptoms_of_lyme_disease_000016_2.htmHere are some pics of Lyme Disease rashes:http://www.google.com/search?tbm=isch&hl=en&source=hp&biw=1024&bih=575&q=lyme+disease+rash+leg&gbv=2&oq=lyme+disease+rash+leg&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&gs_sm=e&gs_upl=546l6681l0l7089l25l23l1l8l7l1l256l2363l0.8.6l14l0 Good luck, I hope it’s not this & that it’s simply some type of eczema or such.

Itchy skin, excessive scratching and the possibility of serious illnesses such as Lyme Disease or Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, are just a few of the annoying (and dangerous) accompaniments to a flea or tick problem.Fleas – Fleas are very tiny, black creatures which can    .. more …

Hunters, beware. You aren’t the only ones in the woods searching for a set of antlers.Winter ticks have just hatched, and they’re looking for warm hosts, preferably deer or moose. But because the two of you are looking for the same thing, your odds of running into each other are pretty high, and ticks aren’t known to be picky. You might just stumble through a nest and look down to see 50    .. more …

I’ve had a small red ring on my chest for at least three months now. It is faint pink and about 3/4″ and clear in the center. I don’t remember getting sick or anything. Now it just developed a small red dot in the middle. Am a I being a hypochondriac? Is it expensive to get tested for Lyme disease?

The main problem isn’t the cost of the test–it’s the fact that standard lab tests for Lyme are lousy at determining whether or not you are infected. It would be good to educate yourself about Lyme, and see if you exhibit any of the many symptoms.Good sources of info about Lyme disease:http://www.lymedisease.orghttp://www.ilads.orghttp://www.canlyme.comhttp://www.lymeinfo.nethttp://www.lymediseaseassociation.orghttp://www.lymenet.orghttp://www.lymedoctor.comhttp://www.touchedbylyme.orghttp://www.facebook.com/lymedisease.org
